This adorable Lefton pixie in a Damta suit is a candleclimber, whose arms are just the right size for holding a miniature ornament. He was broken, but I don’t kick fabulous vintage figurines to the curb, I repurpose and give them a new life.

The little forest that is now home for this pixie is a teacup with a holly berry design. I first attached the cup to the saucer, sculpted snow drifts then affixed the pixie and bottlebrush trees. I then slathered the snow drifts and trees with my own sparkly snow, a concoction I make that smoothes, secures and sparkles. Then I shower the snow in ultrafine pink glitter. Yes, pink snow. Not pink that jumps out at you, just very pale pink that warms up the little scene.

The largest tree is decorated for Christmas with red and gold vintage mercury glass garland beads in two sizes for ornaments. The final touch was to give the Santa pixie a miniature, vintage Shiny Brite ornament.

Just fun for Christmas.
